The Potosi womens ruana wrap is knit from a finer gauge of alpaca yarn, resulting in a lighter weight alpaca poncho. Potosi is the site of a famous silver mine renowned for centuries as a metaphor for great wealth. This flowing knitted poncho mimics the brick and black stripes and Inti (sun) patterns of traditional Bolivian textiles of that region. A great womens poncho for spring and autumn days that veer from chilly to temperate. Use as a splendid oversized alpaca wool shawl. Made in Bolivia of 100% alpaca fiber.
